A life where Jesus is not just invited into your birthing space—He is already there, holding your hand, speaking peace, anointing your womb, and smiling with joy as your baby takes their first breath.
I couldn't imagine my doula not being a part of my labor and delivery. Because I ended up needing a hospital birth and my midwife was unable to be there, I relied on her support and experience during my long and difficult labor. I ended up having a C-section and that period of time was challenging for me; as I recovered, worked through grief, and healed, she was there for me to talk to. She was also deeply servant-hearted, cleaning my house, offering breastfeeding tips, and showing up however she could. The return on investment was greater than I could have imagined, and I will never forget how blessed I felt during that season. I also gained a friend through it which has been such a special gift!
